Maa Jinwani Public School

The school is located right on the Indore Bhopal National Highway in Sonkatch. Being in Dewas district, we see a lot of long-distance traffic passing right in front of our gate. It’s a noisy spot, but you get used to the sound of the big trucks after a few weeks. The building is a two-story structure with a simple courtyard in the middle. We don't have a lot of fancy landscaping, just some gravel and a few hardy plants that survive the heat. The rooms are basic, with old-fashioned blackboards and rows of desks. Our staff is mostly made up of people from Sonkatch who have been here for years. We handle all our own chores, from fixing the gate to sorting out the mail that arrives from the city. The lunch break is the loudest part of the day when everyone is out in the yard. We have to keep a close eye on the front entrance because of the highway traffic right there. It’s a lot of responsibility keeping everything running smoothly. Sometimes we have issues with the water supply, so we have to manage with the tanks on the roof. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We don't spend money on decorations or things that don't help with the day's work. It’s just a solid school building where we spend our mornings and afternoons. We just keep our heads down and get the job done without much fuss or bother from anyone.
