Veegal Plastics Works

Veegal Plastics Works is located at AE 55 in Shalimar Bagh. Our workshop is usually filled with the smell of warm plastic and the steady hum of machines running. It is a production space, so it isn't the cleanest or the quietest spot in the neighborhood. We have crates full of different parts and scraps of material scattered around the floor. Most of our time is spent watching the machines or packing finished items into brown cardboard boxes. We don't have a fancy office upstairs. We just have a small desk near the door where we handle the bills and talk to the drivers who come to pick up the orders. The walls are a bit stained from years of work and the lighting is just basic tube lights that flicker sometimes. We are just regular people making things. There is no corporate structure here. If a machine breaks, we try to fix it ourselves before calling anyone else. We have a routine that involves a lot of checking for defects and making sure the cooling water is running right. On hot days, the heat from the machines makes the whole place feel like an oven, so we take a lot of breaks in the shade outside. It is just a small manufacturing unit doing what it does every day without much noise or attention from the outside world.
