If you come down Shani Bazar Road in Nangloi, you have to look for Gali No. 19. That’s where we are, at E-1/17 in Shiv Ram Park. It is a noisy neighborhood, especially on market days when the streets are packed with people and carts. Our place is full of machines that make a lot of racket while they are running. We work with plastics and do various engineering tasks, so there are always scraps and tools laying around. It is not the cleanest place, but it is a working workshop. We have been here for years, and the neighbors know the sound of our shutters opening in the morning. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, which gives us a chance to sit outside for a bit. We pack things into boxes and load them onto small tempos that struggle to get through the narrow lanes. It is a bit of a squeeze getting everything in and out. The office is just a small corner with a desk and a few files. Most of the space is taken up by the raw materials and the finished packaging. We don't do much advertising; most of our work comes from people who just know we are here. It’s a busy, dusty, and honest way to make a living in this part of town. We keep the machines maintained and the orders moving as fast as the traffic allows.
