Vee Em Electronics

Our shop, Vee Em Electronics, is at 66/57 on Diwan Hall Road in Lajpat Rai Market. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know how loud and crowded it gets. There are wires and components everywhere you look. We sell all sorts of electronic bits and pieces. Some people come in looking for a specific transistor, others just want a new cable. We spend a lot of time testing things out on the counter to show they work. The shop is small, and there is barely enough room for three people to stand at once. We have shelves that go all the way to the roof, stuffed with boxes. It takes a while to find things sometimes, but we know where everything is eventually. The market outside is a whirlwind of people and carts. We’ve been here long enough that the noise doesn't even bother us anymore. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop on the block. We just keep our head down and help the customers who find their way to our door. It’s honest work. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the guys in the neighboring shops. Sometimes we stay late to finish inventory. It’s just how it is in Lajpat Rai. No frills, just electronics and a lot of patience. You might have to wait a minute if we are busy in the back room. We don't have a bell on the door. It’s a noisy place but we call it home for most of the week.
