Utkal Unique Handicrafts

You can find us up on the third floor of Plot No.Bh-126 in Shalimar Bagh. It’s quite a climb if the power goes out, but normally the lift works fine. We run Utkal Unique Handicrafts from here. The rooms are filled with all sorts of things we’ve collected. It smells like wood and old cloth mostly. We spend a lot of time unwrapping items and making sure nothing got broken during transport. It’s not a showroom or anything, just our working space where we keep everything organized. The light is pretty good in the afternoons because of the big windows. We have some stools for sitting and a long table where we do all the packing. Sometimes we lose track of time when we're sorting through the new arrivals. Shalimar Bagh is a nice enough area, though parking can be a real headache if you come late. We’ve been here for a couple of years now. Our neighbors are mostly families, so it stays quiet during the day. We try not to make too much noise with the crates. It’s just a few of us working here. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee. It’s a bit messy with bubble wrap and boxes everywhere, but we know where everything is. It is just how we work, surrounded by a lot of stuff that needs sorting.
