G. V. Exporters

G. V. Exporters is on the ground floor of Anupam Bhawan. We are at No-5 in the commercial complex at Azadpur. It’s a very busy place because we are right near Akash Cinema. You can always hear the music or the crowds when a big movie is playing. Being on the ground floor is good for us because we move a lot of heavy stuff. The complex is always crowded with people and scooters. We have a small office space and a larger area for the goods. It’s often dusty because of all the trucks in the market area nearby. We spend a lot of time on our feet. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving crates around, but that’s normal for an export place. We have a small desk where we keep the register and the phone. It gets really loud during the day, so you have to shout a bit to be heard. We usually get lunch from the stall around the corner. We’ve been in Azadpur for several years now and know the other shopkeepers well. It’s a lot of work coordinating everything, and sometimes things get delayed because of the traffic outside. We just keep at it and handle the shipments as they arrive. The shutters go down late in the evening when the last cinema show is starting. It is just hard work every day.
