U V Lubricants

We are tucked away at number 62 in Darya Ganj. If you know this part of the city, you know how tight the lanes are. There’s always someone moving a cart or a scooter blocking the way. We deal with lubricants, so the floor usually has a bit of a sheen to it and it smells like oil. It’s not the cleanest job, but it’s what we do. The building is old, like everything else around here. We spend most of our time moving barrels or filling smaller containers. It gets quite hot in the summer because the ventilation isn't great. We’ve seen many businesses come and go in Darya Ganj, but we’re still here in our same spot. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and carrying. We don’t have a website or any of that. People just know where we are. Usually, we are busy with orders for local workshops. The morning chai guy knows our order by heart now. We don't use big machines, mostly just doing things by hand. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic on the main road, but that's just Darya Ganj for you. We just keep our heads down and get the work done every day. It’s a simple setup we’ve got going on here. The walls are stained and the lighting is dim, but it’s our space and we know where everything is kept. That's just how we run things every day.
