Tekmec Switchgear & Controls, Delhi

We are located up in Delhi, specifically in the Dilshad Garden industrial area. Our place is No. 483 in the Oberoi Compound, which is right off the main G.T. Road. Being this close to such a major road means there is always a lot of dust and the sound of heavy trucks passing by at all hours. The compound itself is a bit of a mix of different warehouses and small workshops. Ours is one of the older units, so the walls have that worn-in look and the floor is a bit uneven in places. We don’t really mind it, though. It’s a workspace, not a showroom. There’s a small cabin in the back where we keep the main files and a larger open area where the rest of the day-to-day happens. In the summer, it gets quite hot, so we rely on a couple of noisy coolers to keep things bearable. We usually have a few boxes stacked up near the entrance because there’s never quite enough storage space. The neighbors in the compound are all pretty much doing the same thing as us, just trying to get their work done and deal with the Delhi traffic. It’s a gritty, hardworking environment and it suits the kind of stuff we handle here. We’ve been in this compound for years and know all the local tea sellers by name. It is a busy life here but it is what we know.
