Our location at B-70/21-22-23 in the Dsidc Industrial Complex is pretty large because we took over three units to fit everything. Lawrence Road is always jammed with trucks, so getting in and out in the morning is a bit of a struggle. The warehouse part of the building is usually quite cool, even when it’s hot outside, because of the high ceilings. We spend a lot of time moving crates around and checking the bulbs and fixtures. There’s a constant clinking sound of glass and metal whenever someone is working in the back. The lights we keep on for testing make the whole place glow, even during the day. We have a small office area tucked in the corner of unit 21 where the paperwork gets done. It’s usually covered in invoices and half-empty coffee cups. The floor in the industrial complex is that grey concrete that never looks completely clean no matter how much you sweep it. Most of the guys here have been working together for years, so we don't need to say much to get the job done. We just know the routine. At lunch, we usually sit on the loading dock if the weather is okay. It’s just a regular industrial job, nothing flashy, just keeping the lights moving from the shelves to the delivery vans day after day. We just stay busy until it is time to lock up.
