Sonu Carpenter

My name is Sonu and I do carpentry work here in Kanti Nagar Purvi Seelampur. My workshop is at Gali No 2, house number 4929-F-3. I've been working with wood for a long time, mostly fixing broken chairs or making small cupboards for people in the neighborhood. It is a small space but I have all my tools there. Gali No 2 can be a bit crowded, so I usually work with the door open to get some air. People bring me their old furniture that needs a bit of life put back into it. Sometimes I go to people's houses if the job is too big to carry to 4929-F-3. I don't use fancy machines, mostly just hand tools and my old saw. It’s dusty work and my clothes are usually covered in sawdust by noon. I grew up learning this trade and it’s what I know how to do. I don't have a big website or anything, just the shop in Purvi Seelampur where people can find me. If you need a hinge fixed or a new shelf put up, I can usually get to it in a day or two. It’s a quiet life, mostly just the sound of hammering and sanding. I like the smell of fresh wood in the morning. Neighbors often stop by just to chat while I’m working. I try to make things that last, nothing too complicated or flashy. I keep my tools sharp and my workspace as tidy as a carpenter's shop can be.
