Sipla Electromeck

You can find Sipla Electromeck over in the Govind Puri area of Kalkaji, specifically at 436/15. It’s more of a workshop than a showroom. We deal with electrical and mechanical parts. There are tools scattered across the benches and wires hanging in some places. I’ve been working in this field for a long time, and this spot in Govind Puri has been my base. The street outside is narrow, so getting large deliveries can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We fix things and also sell components that are hard to find in the bigger stores. It’s a dusty place because of all the metalwork and drilling we do. I don't wear a suit to work; I'm usually in my work clothes with a bit of grease on my hands. Customers come in with motors or switches that have stopped working. I take a look and see if it’s worth fixing. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. I try to be straight with people. The shop at 436/15 is my second home, really. I spend more time here than anywhere else. It’s a lot of manual work and using my brain to solve mechanical puzzles. There’s no big corporate structure here, just a few of us trying to do a decent job for the people who walk through the door. It’s loud and messy, but it’s how we work.
