Our shop, Shri Ganesh Electronics, is tucked away in the famous Lajpat Rai Market at 1487/2. If you know Delhi, you know how crazy this market can be. It is packed with people looking for every kind of electronic part you can imagine. We fit right in with the noise and the crowds. Our space is small, so we have to use every inch of the walls to hang wires, boards, and testers. It is a bit of a maze inside, but we know exactly where everything is kept. Most of our days are spent talking to technicians and hobbyists who are looking for something very specific. We don’t go for the polished look because this is a working market. People come here to find solutions, not to see fancy decorations. We’ve been here long enough to see the market change, but the way we do business stays the same. We just offer what we have and try to be helpful. Sometimes we drink tea with the shopkeepers next door while waiting for a delivery. It is a tight-knit community here despite how busy it looks to an outsider. We take pride in knowing our stuff and being part of the history of this old market. It gets very busy on the weekends, but we like the energy. You learn something new every day just by talking to the different people who walk in.
