Shanker Textiles

Shanker Textiles is located over in Pushp Vihar, Saket, at the address 162/7. We’ve been dealing with fabrics and cloth for a long time now. The shop is tucked into the neighborhood, so it feels very local. We have rolls of cloth stacked up against the walls, and sometimes they spill out a bit onto the floor when we are busy measuring things out. It’s not a polished showroom, just a place where you can find different materials for whatever you are making. We see a lot of the same faces coming in, neighbors who have lived in Saket for years. We like it that way. It makes the day go by faster when you can chat with people you know. My family has been doing this for a while, and we just keep the shop running like we always have. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in or call us. The 162/7 spot is easy to find once you get into Pushp Vihar. We try to keep a good variety so there is something for everyone, whether they want something plain or with a bit of a pattern. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy rolls and cutting fabric, but it keeps us busy. We open up in the morning and stay until the evening when the street gets quiet.
