S P Plastics

S P Plastics is tucked away in Street No 3, over in Chuna Mandi, Paharganj. If you know this part of the city, it is a bit of a maze with all the narrow lanes, but we have been at 2140/3 for a long time. We deal with all sorts of plastic items, mostly the stuff people use every day without really thinking about it much. The street is very narrow, so getting deliveries in and out can be a real headache sometimes. We spend a lot of our morning just moving stock around and making sure things are where they should be in the piles. It is a dusty job, and the ceiling fans never seem to be enough during the hot summer months. People come to us for bulk orders or just small bits they need for their own little shops. It isn't a showroom or anything like that. It is more of a working space with heavy bags and cardboard boxes piled up high. We know most of the other shopkeepers around this block by their first names. It is loud out on the street with the rickshaws, but once you step inside, it is just the smell of poly and the sound of packing tape being pulled. We don't have a website, just the landline and people walking in off the street. We try to keep our prices steady, even when the material costs jump around. It is basic work, but it keeps us busy.
