You can find us over in the Shahdara Friends Colony Industrial Area, down Gali No 1B at 1/424/34. It’s a typical industrial street, lots of small factories and trucks moving around all day. We deal with plastics here, mostly molding and making small parts that people need for various things. The floor is usually covered in plastic pellets and the smell of warm machinery is always there. It’s a family-run sort of thing, so there’s no big HR department or fancy reception desk. You just walk in and talk to whoever isn't busy with a machine. We spend a lot of time making sure the molds are clean and the temperature is just right so the plastic doesn't warp. It is sweaty work, especially in the Delhi summers, but we’ve got a few fans going to keep the air moving. The neighbors are all doing similar stuff, so we help each other out with tools or advice sometimes. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to make enough parts to keep the bills paid and the staff happy. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch, and other times it's quiet enough to sit outside on a crate for a bit. It is just honest labor in a dusty part of town, nothing more and nothing less than that. We just do the job and try to keep everything moving.
