Our office is over on the first floor at Wz 106 81 in the Rajouri Garden Extension. Being in New Delhi means it's never really quiet outside. We have been at this spot for a while now. It’s a typical Delhi building, with the usual stairs and the sound of traffic from the main road nearby. Inside Reed Elsevier India Pvt Ltd, it is mostly just rows of desks and people working on their screens. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s more of a practical space where we get the daily work done. Sometimes the mail gets delivered to the wrong floor because the numbering in this area can be a bit confusing for new people. We just walk it up or down ourselves. The summers are pretty hot, so we rely on the air conditioning quite a bit. It’s not a very large office, but it fits everyone who needs to be here. We usually just stick to our routines and make sure things are moving along. People coming to visit usually have to look twice for the sign. We like it this way because it’s quiet enough to actually think. It’s just a group of us trying to stay organized and keep up with the pace of the city. We have some old plants in the corner that we try to keep alive. It’s just a regular place to work. Every evening we lock up and head home through the Rajouri market area.
