Readworthy Publications

Readworthy Publications is situated at 234 Dhaula Kuan Part Two. We are in the Delhi Cantt area of New Delhi. This part of the city is a bit different from the rest because of the military presence, so it feels a little more orderly on the streets. Our building is a standard one, and we use it for all the publication work. There are stacks of books everywhere you look. Some are boxed up and ready to go, others are just sitting on shelves. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. Readworthy Publications is where we spend our time editing and checking things. The air smells a bit like paper and ink, which I guess is normal for a place like this. We don't have a big marketing department or a polished showroom. It’s just an office with a lot of heavy lifting involved when the new prints arrive. The stairs are a bit steep and the paint is peeling in a few spots. We have a small table where we have our lunch. Delhi Cantt can be quiet in the evenings, which is nice when we have to stay late to finish a project. We aren't a giant publishing house, just a local one doing our best with the titles we have. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living and we like the neighborhood well enough.
