Rawal Cloth House

Rawal Cloth House is right in the middle of the New Market chaos at shop number 11. If you know Patel Nagar West, you know how busy it gets around here, especially on the weekends. We have been working out of this small space for a long time, and every inch of the walls is covered with rolls of fabric. Sometimes I wonder how we fit it all in, but somehow we manage. My father started this, and I just sort of took over when he got older. Customers come in looking for specific colors or patterns, and we spend half the day pulling things down from high shelves. The dust from the cloth gets everywhere, so we are always sweeping the floor. It is a loud place with the street vendors outside and the constant chatter of shoppers. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights, just the same old wooden counters we've had since the beginning. It feels more like a home than a shop some days. People from all over Patel Nagar stop by, even if they aren't buying anything, just to see what is new in the market. We try to keep things honest and tell people if a certain material isn't right for what they want to make. It’s a simple way to run things, but it has worked for us so far.
