Ravi Kishore Gupta

You can find me over at Tis Hazari, number 189. If you’ve ever been to the courts here, you know it’s a world of its own. It’s loud, crowded, and there is always someone in a hurry. My space is just one of many, but it is where I keep all my books and papers. Ravi Kishore Gupta is the name I go by for all the official stuff. The office is small and filled with the smell of old paper and ink. I’ve spent more hours here than I can count. There is a small window that looks out, but there isn't much of a view, just more buildings and people moving about. I don't have a big staff. It is mostly me and a helper who knows where I keep the files. We don't use much in the way of fancy computers, just what is necessary to get the documents ready. The chairs are a bit squeaky, and the desk is cluttered, but I know exactly where every single pen is. People come here because they need something handled, and I just get to it. There is no polish here, just the reality of working in a place like Tis Hazari. It’s a lot of walking back and forth and waiting in lines. By the time the day ends, I’m usually pretty tired, but that is just the nature of this job.
