Ranbir Sharma

Being in Connaught Place means there is always noise coming from the street below. Ranbir Sharma’s office is at number 616, which is high enough to escape some of the shouting but not all of it. The elevators in this building are old and sometimes you just end up taking the stairs if you’re in a hurry. It’s a small office, mostly taken up by a large wooden desk and some metal filing cabinets that have seen better days. The walls are a neutral color that’s faded a bit over the years. We spend most of the day answering phones or looking through folders. It’s the kind of place where you know exactly where everything is, even if it looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. There’s a window that looks out over the rooftops of other buildings in CP, which is nice when you need a break from the screen. We don't have any big corporate logos or fancy rugs on the floor. It’s just a place to sit and work. People come in with questions or papers to sign, and we handle it as it comes. Lunch usually involves grabbing something from one of the nearby stalls and eating at the desk. It’s busy and a bit cramped, but it’s home for the workday. We don’t try to pretend to be anything more than a small office in the heart of Delhi.
