Rameshwar Dayal Subhash Chand is located at Shop No 75 A in Samman Bazar, Bhogal, near Lajpat Nagar and Jang Pura. The name of the shop is old-fashioned because it’s named after the family members who started it. We have been in Samman Bazar for decades now. It’s a traditional market where everyone knows each other by name. Our shop sells a variety of goods that people in the neighborhood need for their homes. It’s a small space, and we have a lot of things packed into the wooden cupboards. The floor is made of old stone that has smoothed out over the years from many people walking on it. We don't have a big marketing budget or any fancy glass displays. We just open the shop every morning and wait for our regulars to stop by for their things. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to sit for a bit on the bench and talk about the daily news. It’s a very local way of doing business that we prefer. We use old scales and write everything down in thick registers with a pen. The area can get very congested during the festival seasons, which makes things a bit frantic for everyone. But mostly, it’s just a steady and quiet pace of work. We aren't trying to expand into a big chain. We’re happy right here in Bhogal, serving the people who have been coming to us.
