Ramendra Singh

My workplace is at Tis Hazari, specifically room or spot number 126. If you know Delhi, you know how chaotic Tis Hazari can be with all the lawyers, clerks, and people looking for help. It’s a very loud and crowded environment. I go by Ramendra Singh, and I’ve been operating out of this space for quite some time. It isn't a fancy setup by any means. It’s mostly stacks of paper and the smell of old files. I don't use those corporate words because they don't fit the reality of working in a place like this. Most of my day is spent talking to people who are usually a bit stressed out. I just try to be practical and tell them what's what. Number 126 is just a small part of a huge complex, but it’s where I get things done. There is always a lot of tea being drunk and a lot of waiting around for things to happen. I don't have a "mission" other than just doing my job correctly. The building is old and the fans make a lot of noise, but that’s just how it is here. You learn to work around the noise and the heat. It’s a very human place, full of mistakes and small victories. I just stay at my desk and handle the cases or the documents as they come in. It’s simple, hard work in a very busy and dusty part of the city.
