If you ever find yourself in the Mangol Puri Industrial Area Phase 1, you might come across Ram Plastic Industries. We are tucked away at T 2/178. It’s a pretty standard factory setup where we spend our days dealing with injection molds and plastic raw materials. The smell of heating plastic is something you get used to after about a week of working here. It’s loud because of the compressors and the cooling fans, so we usually have to shout to hear each other over the machines. We’ve been at this T 2/178 address for quite some time now, and the neighbors are all doing similar industrial work. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is steady. We make a lot of small parts that people probably use every day without thinking twice about where they came from. Most of our day is spent checking the machines and making sure the products are coming out the right shape. Sometimes a mold gets stuck or a machine breaks down, and then it’s a long night of fixing things. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to make sure the work gets done and the workers get paid. It’s a small family-run thing and we like to keep it that way. If you need to find us, just look for the big blue door in Phase 1. There is usually a truck parked outside loading up bags of scrap or finished products.
