Ram Pal Singh Bhadauria

You can find Ram Pal Singh Bhadauria over at my place in Chitra Vihar, number 39, which is right off the main Vikas Marg. Living and working here in this part of Delhi means you get used to the constant hum of the city and the traffic. My office is basically a converted room in the building that I have been using for many years. It is a very personal space for me. I have my books arranged on the shelves, though they are not in any particular order that anyone else would understand. There is a window that looks out toward the street, and I often find myself watching the people go by when I am thinking or taking a break. The furniture is a bit mismatched, with an old leather chair that has seen better days and a metal desk that is very sturdy. I do not really care about having a polished look for a corporate office. I just want a place where I can get my work done without too many distractions from the outside world. Most of the people who come to see me are neighbors or people I have known for a long time. We usually spend the first ten minutes just catching up on family news and the weather before we get down to any real business. It feels more like a community here than a commercial area. I like the familiarity of the streets around Chitra Vihar and the way the evening light hits it.
