I’ve been working out of number 58 in Bengali Market for a long time. It’s a well-known area, mostly for the food, but there are plenty of us here just doing our daily jobs. My place is small and functional. I like being in this part of town because it’s central and easy for people to find. You can always smell something good cooking from the nearby shops, which makes the afternoon a bit difficult if you haven’t eaten yet. I don’t have a fancy setup. It’s just a desk, some chairs, and my files. I’ve lived and worked around here long enough to see the market change through the seasons. It gets really busy in the evenings, but I’m usually wrapping things up by then. I prefer the quiet of the early morning when I can get things organized without much interruption. My work isn't anything that needs a lot of explanation. I just take care of what needs to be done. People stop by, we talk, and we get the business sorted out. I don’t use any complicated systems. Paper and pen usually do the trick for me. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it’s how I’ve always done it and it works. Number 58 is just a regular spot in a famous market. I’m just one of the many people here trying to make a living and keep things simple. It is a good spot for what I do.
