Rajesh Kumar

L 20 Tis Hazari Main Road is where I set up shop. It’s a small space, but it’s enough for me. Rajesh Kumar is the name on the door, though most folks just call out when they walk in. I’ve always preferred working for myself. It means I can do things my own way, even if my way is a bit slow sometimes. I don't like to rush things. If a job is worth doing, I figure I should take the time to do it properly. My workbench is covered in scratches and oil stains, but every mark has a story. I’ve worked on thousands of things at that bench over the years. The light isn't great in the back, so I usually keep the front door wide open to let the sun in. It gets a bit dusty with all the traffic outside, but you get used to it. I have a small radio that plays mostly static, but it keeps the silence away when I'm alone. I don't really do much advertising. People find me by word of mouth or because they were walking to the court and saw the sign. It’s a honest living. I don't have any big plans to expand or anything like that. I’m happy right where I am, at L 20.
