Raja Harpal

Our place is over at Kashmere Gate, right on Madrasa Road at number 1590. If you know Delhi, you know how busy and crowded Kashmere Gate can get. There’s always noise from the rickshaws and trucks passing by. Raja Harpal is the name on the board outside. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. The building is old, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it’s home for the business. We deal with various parts and supplies that people in this market are always looking for. The shop is packed with boxes, and sometimes it’s hard to find a place to sit down. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We talk to people face-to-face, drink a lot of tea, and handle everything manually. We don’t use much technology besides a basic phone and an old calculator. 1590 Madrasa Road is easy to find if you’re familiar with the back streets of the gate area. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to us for years. We aren't looking to expand into a big corporation. We just want to keep doing what we’re doing at our own pace. It’s a rough and tumble environment, but we like the energy of the market. Every day is different, even if the work is the same. Just a local business in the heart of the city.
