We’ve been sitting here at S 3 837 on Mbroad in New Delhi for a while now. Most mornings start early at Radio Iimt 90 4 F M. You can hear the traffic outside if the windows aren't shut tight. The studio isn't huge but we make it work. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons but that's just how Delhi is. We spend a lot of time checking the signal and making sure everything is plugged in right. Sometimes the tea guy comes by around eleven and that’s the highlight of the hour. We aren't doing anything fancy here, just keeping the station running day in and day out. There are wires everywhere and old chairs that squeak when you move too fast. It's a busy spot in New Delhi and we are right in the middle of it. People walk past our door all day. Some of us have been here for years, others are new, but we all just do our jobs. The equipment is a bit older than what you see on TV but it gets the job done. We mostly just focus on what needs to happen today. It’s a job like any other, filled with noise and some laughs when the microphones are off. We try to keep things simple because complicated stuff usually breaks. That’s just life at our little spot on Mbroad. We're just a bunch of folks making sure 90.4 stays on the air.
