Operating out of Ruwi in Muscat has its own rhythm that you eventually get used to. Our office is Profaids Consulting P Ltd, and we use PO Box 880 for all the mail that comes through. The physical spot is at Pc112, which is easy enough to find if you know the streets in this part of town. It gets incredibly hot here for most of the year, so the air conditioning is almost always humming in the background of everything we do. It’s a small space, mostly filled with metal filing cabinets and a couple of computers that have definitely seen better days. We do a lot of paperwork. Some days it feels like that’s all we ever do. The area around Ruwi is always moving, with people coming and going from different businesses. We’ve been here quite a while, so we’ve seen shops open and close all around us. We aren't a massive firm with hundreds of employees in suits. We’re just a handful of people trying to keep the records straight and the clients happy. There’s a small shop nearby where we get our lunch most days, usually something quick before heading back to the desk. It’s a very standard office life without any bells or whistles. We stick to our routine, check the PO box, and handle the mail as it comes in. It’s a steady way to work in a very busy city like Muscat.
