Prince Power Systems

Our shop is tucked away at 31 A in the Old Lajpat Rai Market, which stays pretty crowded most days of the week. If you know this market, you know it is full of electronics and wires everywhere you look. We deal with power systems, so our space is usually filled with batteries, inverters, and all sorts of cables piled up on the shelves. It is not a very big place, but we manage to fit everything in somehow. Most of our day is spent testing equipment or explaining how a specific battery works to someone who walked in. The market is noisy with people shouting and carts moving through the narrow lanes, but that is just the way it is here. We have been in this spot for a while now and have seen the market change quite a bit over the years. We keep the ledger on a small wooden table near the entrance. Sometimes the lights flicker in the market, which is funny considering what we sell, but we just keep going. It is a practical kind of life, sitting among the stacks of metal boxes and wires. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for deliveries to arrive or for customers to stop by with their questions. It’s a busy life but we like the routine of the market.
