Pradeep Gaur

Patiala House Courts can be a bit of a maze if you aren't here every day. My spot is over at Chamber 322. It is not a very big space, but it fits what I need. Usually, I am here early before the crowd starts coming in through the main gates. There is always some noise from the hallways, people talking about their files or just looking for where they need to go. I have been at this address for a while now. The desk is a bit cluttered with papers and some old law books I keep for reference. Sometimes the light in the hallway flickers, but inside the chamber, it is alright. Pradeep Gaur is the name on the door, though most folks just knock and walk in if they see the light on. It is a practical place. We don't have fancy leather chairs or anything like that. Just some sturdy wooden ones for whoever stops by. The tea stall downstairs is where I get my morning fix. You get used to the sounds of the court after a few years. It becomes a kind of background hum that you don't even notice anymore. If you are looking for 322, just head past the main corridor and look for the numbers. It is tucked in there pretty well. Most days are long, but that is just how it goes when you work around here.
