You can find Prabhat Publishing over in Karol Bagh, specifically at 11263 on the ground floor in Doriwalan. It’s a bit of a crowded area, but that’s the way this part of the city is. Our space is filled with stacks of paper and the smell of ink most days. We spend a lot of time looking at proofs and making sure the text looks right before it goes out. It’s not a high-tech operation; we just focus on getting the books and materials put together. The ground floor location makes it easy for deliveries to come in and out, which happens a lot. Sometimes the piles of books get so high you can hardly see the desks. We’ve been here for a while and the rhythm of the street is familiar to us now. It’s a lot of sitting and checking lines of text, then moving things around to make room for the next batch. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a working space where things get printed and bound. People drop by sometimes to check on their projects, and we usually have something in the works. It’s a steady job, and we just keep at it day after day. It’s practical work for us, and we like being in the middle of Karol Bagh where everything is happening. We just stick to the printing.
