Pooja Lase Fabrics

Pooja Lase Fabrics is tucked away in Sadar Bazar, at 3849 Gali Varna in Pahari Dhiraj. If you have ever been to this part of town, you know how crowded and loud it gets. The lanes are narrow and there are people carrying heavy loads of cloth everywhere you look. Our shop is right in the middle of that rush. Inside, it is basically just walls of fabric rolls stacked up to the ceiling. It can be hard to move around when we get a new shipment in from the trucks. We spend most of our mornings unpacking things and checking the stock. The air always smells a bit like cotton and dye. It is a very old neighborhood, and the buildings are all built right on top of each other. We have some regular customers who have been coming to us for years, and they usually just walk in and start looking through the piles. We don't have much space for a fancy showroom or anything like that. There is just a small counter where we do the cutting and the billing. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use flashlights to find specific items in the back. It is just how life is in Pahari Dhiraj. We eat our lunch quickly between customers, usually sitting on one of the wooden stools. It is a lot of hard work and long hours, but we are used to it by now.
