Poly Studio Digital Colour Lab

We’ve got this little studio in Kishan Garh, over in Vasant Kunj. The address is 2 9. It’s a digital colour lab, so there’s always computers running and printers making noise. At Poly Studio Digital Colour Lab, the light is a bit dim inside so we can see the screens better, which can feel a bit strange when you walk in from the bright sun. We do a lot of photo work. People bring in their old pictures or digital files, and we try to get the colours looking right. It’s a lot of squinting at monitors and adjusting things. The shop isn't very large. There's a counter where people drop things off, and then a back area where all the machines are. Sometimes the floor is covered in scraps of paper and test prints. We try to sweep up at the end of the day, but it’s a constant battle. We’ve been here for a while, and the neighbors in Vasant Kunj know us. We don't have a big corporate team. It’s just a few of us who know how to handle the software and the printers. Some days the machines act up and we have to spend hours fixing them, which is frustrating but that’s just life with technology. We don't make big promises. We just try to do a decent job with the photos people give us. It's a nice way to spend the day, looking at everyone’s memories.
