Police Public Press

We’ve been here in Sant Nagar for quite a while now. Specifically, we’re located at GK House, G 8, in East of Kailash. It’s a busy spot with plenty of people moving around, but we like it that way. We focus on the Police Public Press. Most of our days are spent handling papers, checking prints, and talking to folks about what’s happening. It isn’t a fancy office by any means. It’s mostly just some sturdy desks, a few old chairs, and a lot of ink. Sometimes the printer acts up and makes a real mess, but we get things out eventually. People often stop by just to share some news or to see what we are working on for the day. We try to keep things clear between the police and the neighborhood folks. It feels like important work, but we don't go around making a big fuss about it. We are just sitting here at 187 A, doing the daily tasks that need doing. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic and the horns, but you get used to it. You learn to live with the noise when you’ve been in this part of Delhi as long as we have. We started out small and we’ve mostly stayed that way. There’s always plenty to do when we open up in the morning. Sometimes we stay late when a story needs finishing. That’s just the way it goes.
