The Pnb branch we have here at I 440 Govindpuram in Ghaziabad is a pretty standard spot for the neighborhood. It is tucked away in the residential part of Govindpuram, so we see a lot of the same faces every single day. The office itself is not very large, and it can get quite cramped when there is a rush in the morning or just before we close for the day. We have the usual counters for cash and passbook updates which are always the busiest parts of the room. The air conditioning works most of the time, but during the peak of summer, it struggles to keep up with the heat coming through the front doors. Our furniture is a bit old and shows some wear from all the people sitting in the waiting area. The staff knows most of the locals by name, which makes the work feel a bit more personal than a big city branch. We spend a lot of time helping people fill out forms or explaining how the new machines work. There is usually a bit of a queue for the ATM outside, especially on paydays. It is just a regular local bank where things move at their own pace. We do not have anything fancy like a coffee lounge, just a water cooler in the corner that everyone shares. It is a noisy, busy little place but it serves the people living around here just fine.
