Our office for the Pmu National E Governance Plan Government Of India is located right here in Jaipur, specifically at 3 Ganesh Nagar on the New Sanganer Road in Sodala. If you know the area, it is usually quite busy with traffic and people going about their day. We have been working out of this building for a while now, and it is a typical government setup with plenty of desks and files stacked up. The staff here spends most of the day looking at computer screens or dealing with the various administrative tasks that come with managing e-governance projects. It is not a fancy place by any means, but it gets the job done. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the tea man comes around twice a day which is the highlight for most of us. We deal with a lot of paperwork and digital records related to the national plan. It is mostly quiet work, punctuated by the sounds of the main road outside. We do not have any big signs or flashy displays. It is just a practical space where we come to do our shift and go home. Finding parking nearby can be a bit of a headache during peak hours because the road is so narrow. Most people who work here take the bus or ride their scooters to get through the Sodala traffic. We just try to keep things moving along according to the schedules we are given.
