Pitamber Kumar Associates can be found at the Patiala House Courts. This is one of the more historic court buildings in New Delhi, and being based here means we are right in the middle of the city's legal life. The building itself has a lot of character, with its high ceilings and long corridors that always seem to be full of people in black coats. We don't have a modern, sleek office suite. Instead, our workspace is more about function and tradition. There are files everywhere, some tied with the traditional red ribbon, and old wooden furniture that has been around as long as we can remember. The atmosphere at Patiala House is always intense, with a lot of rushing around to meet deadlines or catch a hearing. We spend most of our day navigating these halls and talking to clients who are often quite stressed. It is a demanding place to work, and the days can be very long. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy philosophy. We just focus on the legal tasks we have for the day and try to stay on top of the paperwork. There is a sense of history in the walls here, and we are just one part of the many legal professionals who call this place home. It is a busy, noisy, and very real environment.
