Working in Mayapuri Industrial Area Phase II means you get used to the sound of machines very quickly. Our place is at A 31 A on the main road. It is a busy spot. You can hear the traffic all day long. Inside, things are usually a bit messy because of all the materials we handle. We don't really worry about keeping everything spotless as long as the work gets finished. My cousin helps me out with the daily tasks. We start early because the heat gets quite bad by noon. Plastic work can be tiring when it is hot outside. We have a small fan that barely does anything, but we manage. Most of the people who come here are regulars from the nearby units. We talk about the weather or the traffic on the main road while we sort things out. It is a very normal, everyday kind of place. There are no suits or big meetings here. Just us in our old clothes trying to keep up with the orders. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes around here, which can be a real headache. We have to go out and help them navigate. It is just part of the job. We have been here long enough that we know every pothole on this street. We just do our work and go home to get some rest for the next day.
