Pankaj Plastic Industries

Pankaj Plastic Industries is based in Naraina Y-257, over in the Loha Mandi area. If you’ve ever been to Loha Mandi, you know it’s a busy, gritty part of town with a lot of trucks and industrial work going on. We fit right in. We work with plastic, melting it down and molding it into various shapes and products. The machines run for most of the day, and there's always that specific smell of warm plastic in the air. It’s a family-run kind of thing, really. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy emails. We just take the orders and get the production line moving. Sometimes the raw material prices go up and we have to figure things out, but we manage. The floor is usually covered in small scraps, and we’re always sweeping up. We've been in Naraina for quite some time now. We know the other shop owners on the street. It’s a community of people who make things. If someone needs a specific plastic part, they come to us. We don't promise miracles, just that we’ll do the work as best as we can. Our office is just a small corner with a desk and some old files. We prefer being out where the machines are. It’s a tough environment but it’s our life. We just keep the output steady and hope the electricity stays on so we can finish the day's batch. It’s honest labor.
