P C L Oil & Solvents Ltd

Our office for P C L Oil & Solvents Ltd is tucked away in Connaught Place at M-105. CP is always a madhouse with tourists and shoppers, so getting to work in the morning can be a bit of a challenge. The building is one of those old ones with high ceilings and thick walls that keep things surprisingly cool even when it’s boiling outside. We deal with oil and solvents, which sounds complicated, but mostly it’s just a lot of logistics and talking to suppliers. My desk is covered in files and old notebooks because I still prefer writing things down by hand rather than putting everything on a computer. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break and look out at the busy streets below. It’s not a shiny, glass-walled office like you see in the movies. It’s more lived-in, with some old wooden cabinets and chairs that have been around since the shop opened. We spend a lot of time on the phone, coordinating deliveries and checking on shipments. Sometimes the lift in the building breaks down, and we have to climb the stairs, which isn't fun in the summer heat. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while, and even though the area has changed, our office stays pretty much the same. It’s a steady kind of place where we just get through the daily tasks.
