Om Tiles Marbles

Our shop is tucked into the Mangolpuri area, specifically shop number 310 in the Mangol Puri Kalan marble market. If you walk through the market, you will see slabs of stone leaning against the walls everywhere. We have been here for a good while, surrounded by the sound of saws cutting through heavy rock. Our space is filled with different kinds of floor tiles and marble pieces that we get from different suppliers. It gets pretty dusty inside, so we are always wiping things down so people can see the real colors of the stone. Customers come in with their measurements written on scraps of paper. We show them what we have in stock and tell them which ones are sturdier for kitchens or bathrooms. It is a lot of heavy lifting, moving samples around so the light hits them just right. We don't use any fancy sales talk. We just tell you what the stone is and how much we have left in the yard. Most of our days are spent talking to contractors and homeowners who are tired from their renovations. We help load the crates onto the tempos parked outside. It’s a busy place with lots of trucks coming and going, but we like being right in the middle of the marble market. The floor of the shop is usually covered in stone dust and we go through a lot of broomsticks.
