O P Chadha Co is located at number 20 in the Anand Parbat area. If you’ve ever been to Anand Parbat, you know it is a maze of small lanes and busy workshops. Our place is no different. It is a compact space that we have packed with as much as we can. We have shelves going all the way up to the ceiling to hold our supplies and ledger books. The lighting is a bit yellow, and the floor is made of old stone that has worn down over the years. It is a very busy spot. There is always someone coming in to ask a question or drop off a package. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that hum loudly all day. We keep a big jug of water in the corner for anyone who is thirsty. The desks are covered in notebooks and pens. We don't use much fancy software for our daily tasks; we prefer to write things down so we don't forget. The street outside is usually blocked with carts or people walking, so it can be a bit of a struggle to get in and out. But we’ve been here at number 20 for a long time, and we know everyone on the block. It is a gritty, hardworking neighborhood. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and get on with the business until it is time to go home. We close up pretty late most nights when there is a lot of work.
