You can find us in Shakkarpur at D 99 Shanti Niwas, which is quite near Laxmi Nagar in New Delhi. This part of the city is always buzzing with activity and we are right in the thick of it. Our office is a manpower consultancy, which basically means we spend our days trying to help people find work and helping businesses find the right staff. We have been in this building for a while and it is a very typical Delhi setup with narrow stairs and lots of neighbors close by. Inside, the rooms are small and filled with desks that are usually covered in resumes and notebooks. It gets quite crowded in the afternoons when people come in for interviews or to ask about new job openings. We have a couple of fans going to keep the place cool, and there is always the sound of traffic and street vendors coming in from outside. We don't have a big corporate team or any fancy slogans. We just talk to people, listen to what they need, and try to make a good match. It is a lot of phone calls and a lot of typing on old keyboards. We keep a big water jar for everyone and there are usually a few chairs lined up for people waiting. It is a very human way of doing business, where we know many of our candidates by their first names. We just keep at it every day in this busy corner of Shakkarpur.
