New Kumar Embroidery House

Our workshop is tucked away in Block No 117 E of Kamla Nagar. If you come by, the constant hum of the machines is the first thing you will hear. We spend our days looking at threads and fabrics. It involves a lot of sitting and watching the needles move. Embroidery for all kinds of clothes is what we do. Sometimes it is simple patterns, and other times it is more detailed stuff. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread and fabric scraps. It is not the cleanest place, but it is where we work. A big factory is not what we are. It is just a small space where we get the orders done. We have been in Kamla Nagar for quite a bit of time now. Most of our work comes from local tailors or people who want something special on their outfits. A big storefront with a display is not something we have. It is more of a workspace where the focus is on the machines. Sometimes a machine breaks down, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it instead of sewing. That is just part of the daily routine. A big philosophy about what we do is not something we have. We just take the fabric, do the embroidery, and hand it back. It is a steady way to spend the day. We have gotten used to the rhythm after all these years.
