Our office is located in the DDA Flats at New Seelampur, specifically at 19 224. This part of Delhi is always buzzing with activity, and there is a lot of energy in the streets. We have a modest space that is usually overflowing with papers, folders, and various bits of equipment. It’s a bit of a maze to get through the flats if you haven’t been here before. We have a small team, and we all sit quite close together, so there isn’t much privacy, but we get along well. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to worry about that. We have a lot of people coming in and out during the day, so the door is always opening and closing. The local chai wallah knows our order by heart and brings a tray over twice a day. That’s usually the highlight of the afternoon. We don’t have any fancy furniture or high-tech gadgets beyond the basic computers we need. It’s a very grounded place. We deal with a lot of community-related stuff, so there is always a story to hear or a problem to look into. It’s not a quiet job, but it’s interesting. We just try to keep things moving and help out where we can without making a big fuss about it.
