National Productivity Council

This branch of the National Productivity Council is tucked away in Abhyant Apartments, specifically A 602 on Plot 2. It’s in Vasundhara Enclave, which is a fairly busy part of Delhi. Being in an apartment complex means it doesn’t feel like a typical sterile office. It’s got a bit more of a lived-in feel. We’ve had to fit a lot of desks into the space, so it can feel a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time. The balcony has a few pots of flowers that one of the staff members looks after. It gives us a bit of a view when we need a break from the computer screens. We do a lot of coordination from here. The phone rings a fair bit. Sometimes the delivery people get confused because it’s a residential building, so we have to go down and meet them at the gate. It’s not a big corporate headquarters, just a place where we get the work done. We drink a lot of coffee to stay awake during the long afternoons. The walls are painted a neutral color that’s started to fade a little near the light switches. We’ve got stacks of documents everywhere. It’s not perfectly neat, but we know where everything is. The neighbors in the other apartments are used to us being here by now. We try to keep the noise down. It’s a decent place to work for all of us.
