Nanak Chand Thakur

We’ve been based here at Tis Hazari Baba Gurcharan for quite some time now. It is a busy place, as you probably know if you’ve ever had to come down this way. My name is Nanak Chand Thakur and I mostly just spend my days here handling whatever comes across my desk. The office isn't anything fancy, just a room with some chairs and a lot of papers piled up on the shelves. Sometimes the noise from the street gets a bit loud, especially in the afternoons when everyone is trying to leave at once. We usually open up early in the morning before the real heat sets in. It’s a good spot because people can find us easily enough once they get into the Baba Gurcharan area. Mostly it is just me and a couple of others keeping things moving. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. Most people who come here heard about us from someone else in the neighborhood or they just saw the sign while walking past. I like the routine of it, honestly. Every day is kind of the same but also a little different depending on who walks through the door. We just try to get through the work without making too much of a fuss about it. If you are looking for the place, we are right there in the thick of it. It’s just how we’ve always done things here.
