Namita Choudhary

Working at Tilak Marg means we are right in the thick of things near the Supreme Court. Namita Choudhary is based out of room 303, which gets a lot of light in the afternoons when the sun is setting. It’s a busy area, always filled with people in a hurry, lawyers in black coats, and the sound of cars honking constantly. We don't have time for a lot of fluff or fancy talk here. The work is serious and we just get on with it every day. You can hear the bustle from the street even when the windows are shut tight. It’s a historic part of Delhi, and you feel that when you walk to the office every morning past the old buildings. We don't have a big team or a fancy waiting room with coffee machines. It’s a practical space designed for getting things done. We spend a lot of time looking at papers and talking on the phone to various people. Being so close to the court means the energy is always high, and things move fast. We don't go around telling people we are the best at anything. We just provide a place where the work gets finished properly. Some days are longer than others, especially when the traffic on Tilak Marg is backed up for miles. We just keep a kettle in the corner for tea and stay focused on whatever is in front of us until it's time to leave.
