Mool Chand & Sons

We’ve been at Qutub Road Chowk for a long time now. My grandfather started Mool Chand & Sons in Sadar Bazar way back when. It’s mostly wood and timber here, and the yard gets pretty full. The market is always crowded, especially near the Sadar Timber Market area. We keep things pretty simple around the shop. If someone needs plywood or boards for a home project, they usually come find us by the big piles. It’s not a big fancy place, just stacks of wood and us trying to keep track of the orders. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it really hard to move the delivery trucks, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We know most of the regular carpenters and the contractors who drop by every week. It is a lot of physical work, mostly loading and unloading heavy planks. I basically grew up around the smell of fresh sawdust and the sound of trucks reversing. We don’t really have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are at 2795 B. We open early in the morning before it gets too hot. Some days are slow, while others we can’t keep up with the phone ringing off the hook. We just try to get the orders right and send people on their way. It’s a family thing, so there’s always someone around to help. We don’t do much advertising. Word of mouth works well enough for us.
